Our services: Private Ultrasound

 We provide a wide range of non-obstetric ultrasounds, including:

• Abdominal ultrasound (liver, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen)
• Musculoskeletal ultrasound (joints, muscles, tendons) 
• Thyroid ultrasound 
• Pelvic ultrasound (uterus, ovaries, prostate) 
• Men’s genital ultrasound (testes, prostate, lumps/swelling) 
• Lumps and bumps assessment

A referral is helpful but not mandatory. You can self-refer using our online form. A physician or member of our patient care team may contact you to confirm that the scan is clinically appropriate. 

You can book online by uploading your referral or completing our self-referral form. Alternatively, you can call our clinic to schedule a convenient appointment time. 

Most non-obstetric ultrasounds take 20–30 minutes, depending on the area being scanned. 

We offer same-day radiology reports. Your results will be available quickly, and you may discuss them with your GP if needed. 

Preparation depends on the type of ultrasound:

• Abdominal ultrasound: You may need to fast for 4–6 hours (please let us know if you are diabetic). 
• Pelvic ultrasound: You may be asked to have a full bladder. 
• Other scans: Generally, no special preparation is required. Our team will provide instructions when you book.

Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, making it safe and non-invasive. 

Ultrasound is usually painless. Some scans may involve mild pressure, especially over joints or the abdomen, but discomfort is typically minimal. 

Yes, you are welcome to bring a companion. Please let us know in advance if special arrangements are needed. 

Pricing depends on the type of scan. You may check the service availability and pricing before booking. 

If you need a scan not listed on our website, please contact us directly so we can advise and arrange the appropriate imaging. 

We provide private ultrasound services. NHS referrals are not required, though patients with an NHS referral can choose to use our service for convenience or faster results.
